During the Winter 2026/27 season, reservations are only required at the California Base Area lot on weekends and designated peak periods. We have many choices for guests who join us, with a mix of paid and free options across our resort and within the community.

Parking at the California Base Area during the winter season will require reservations with a fee of $20.00 during weekends and peak periods. Reservation Start Date: Saturday, December 12, 2026, and end Sunday, April 4, 2027. We define peak periods as:Christmas: Dec 19–31 (excluding Christmas Day), Jan 1–Jan 3MLK Day: Jan 18Presidents Week: Feb 15 & Feb 19 (Monday & Friday)Full List of Reservation Dates:December: 12, 13, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31January: 1, 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 30, 31February: 6, 7, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 27, 28March: 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28April: 3, 4

At our California Base Area lot, reservations will be required and there will be a fee of $20.00 for vehicles with 3 or fewer occupants before 11:30am on weekends, holidays, and peak periods. If you have 4+ people in a vehicle, you still need a reservation but there will be no fee to park during these times at the California Base Area. After 11:30am on peak period days, parking will be free, and no reservations are required.

This season, the parking program is operating on a new updated backend system. Due to data privacy and data-sharing limitations, account information from previous seasons could not be transferred to the new system.As a result, all guests are required to create a new account before making reservations. While this may require a few extra minutes during the initial setup process, it helps ensure that your information is current, secure, and accurately connected to the new platform.This is a one-time requirement for the transition to the new system and will help provide a more reliable and efficient reservation experience moving forward.

The California Base Area will remain free without need for reservations Monday – Friday during the winter season (with the exception of peak periods). It will also be free (without reservations) after 11:30am on weekends and holidays/peak periods. Parking will be free, still with a reservation on weekends and peak periods if you have 4 or more in your car. We highly suggest carpooling! Boulder Base Area and Stagecoach Base Area parking will remain free every day, including on weekdays, weekends, and peak periods.
